The Artisans of Gaudí is a three-part documentary series offering a different perspective on the creative universe of Antoni Gaudí. Far from a conventional biography, the series places artisans at the heart of the story, revealing how their hands, knowledge and ability to transform stone, wood, iron, ceramics and glass were essential in turning Gaudí’s ideas into a unique architectural language.

Through some of the most emblematic buildings of his work the Nau Gaudí in Mataró, Casa Vicens, Palau Güell, Park Güell, Casa Batlló, Casa Milà and the Sagrada Família stonemasons, glassmakers, ceramicists, blacksmiths, carpenters, sculptors, restorers, gardeners and architects open the doors to their crafts and show how this legacy continues to evolve more than a century later.

Alongside the artisans, architects, historians and specialists provide the keys to understanding Gaudí’s ideas, career and human dimension. A journey between past and present that reveals how, behind every column, stained-glass window, mosaic or piece of wrought iron, there is a body of knowledge and talent that often remains unseen.

The Artisans of Gaudí is not just a series about architecture. It is a tribute to craftsmanship and to the transmission of knowledge that has made Gaudí’s work a universal heritage, while also remaining a living work in constant evolution.
